As the Marketing Manager for Johns Hopkins Centre for Communication Programs, I managed a team of 5 consisting of media planners, buyers and compliance officers to plan and execute all JHU CCPs media campaigns and measure for effectiveness. For 4 years, I have implemented over 50 campaigns across over 15 brands pertaining to the project.
I answer to all the brands under the organization, understand their needs, develop media strategies, identify, engage, procurement and negotiate with new media partners, prepare media plans, generate media purchase orders and deploy to the media houses, hire and train media monitors/agencies, conduct all monitoring analysis, conduct weekly or monthly reports to managements and donor (USAID), keep record of all campaign activities including budgets, ensure and prepare documents for partner payments, track ad spend, track and report ad performance, monitor industry trends and manage all marketing related activities for the business.
Overall, the project has recorded the following achievements:
1. Attain average 60% reach year 1, 65% year 2, 80% by year 3 and maintained in year 4
2. Grew the number of media partners on the project's portfolio from 30 to over 200+
3. Average yearly cost share savings of $2m
4. Average 40% cost savings on discounts
5. Structured system of operations for more efficiency
6. Improved brand visibility and message awareness and retainership
